ARORA HILLS SOCIAL COMMITTEE HOSTS PARTY
FOR POOL GRAND OPENING!

Clarksburg, MD – June 17, 2007 Arora Hills announced the grand opening of its first of two community pools on Saturday, June 17. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., residents enjoyed the pool, music, and great weather. Clubhouse Manager Liz Lawrence deemed the party a success, “The pool patrons enjoyed the mushroom waterfall, beach entry, fountains and bubblers. 250 residents came with their families and enjoyed popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy at the party. We hired a DJ, and the kids enjoyed the moon bounce and bubble machine that we provided.”

The main pool is 5,202 square feet and is 5 feet deep at its deepest point. Lanes are provided for lap swimming and future swim meets.  There is also a fenced-in, 168 square foot wade pool for children 6 and under. The pool is furnished with plenty of lounge chairs and tables with chairs and umbrellas. White pergolas are featured around the pool to provide shade and visual appeal. The pool area also features 2 fenced-in grassy areas that can be used for sunbathing, relaxing, or playing. There’s also a large tot lot just steps away.

The pool is located behind the Arora Hills Clubhouse at the corner of Chestnut Glen Road and Birch Mead Road in Neighborhood 2. The two-story Clubhouse opened this spring and features an attractive, columned front porch, inviting foyer with a gas fireplace, catering kitchen, great room with windows overlooking the pool, a smaller multi-purpose room, and office space. On the lower level, the Clubhouse has showers and bathrooms, a lifeguard station, and the entrance to the pool.
