ARORA HILLS TO HOST THIRD ANNUAL CORN MAZE!
CLARKSBURG, MD – ARORA HILLS, one of Montgomery County’s top-selling master-planned communities, will host their third annual charity corn maze to benefit Hospice Caring, Inc. weekends only, September 10 through October 30 (weather permitting) from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Donations of $10.00 per group and $5.00 per person are being requested with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Hospice Caring, Inc., the only non-profit volunteer hospice organization in Montgomery County, Maryland.
After swashbuckling your way through the Corn Maze Pirate Ship, visitors can play the Fingertip Fortune Game and vote on next year’s design. Little visitors can choose a prize from the prize box. Visitors to last year’s award-winning house-shaped corn maze picked this year’s design created by Maize Quest of New Park, Pennsylvania. The land for the maze and all of the advertising to promote the charity event are being donated by the community’s developers The Artery Group and Beazer Homes, and builders Beazer Homes, K. Hovnanian Homes, and Ryan Homes.
“We wanted to provide residents of Montgomery County, surrounding areas, and the ARORA HILLS community with a fun and affordable activity, while at the same time helping Hospice Caring, Inc.”, said Alan Stackman, President, The Artery Group. Last year’s event raised $6,500 for Hospice Caring, Inc. Hospice Caring has been providing free non-medical hospice services and bereavement programs to terminally ill patients and their families since 1989. The organization has more than 2,600 trained volunteers providing services in homes, hospitals, and nursing homes.
According to Mr. Stackman , the annual outdoor event was in keeping with the “back to nature” theme of the community. “When designing ARORA HILLS, we set out to create a vibrant community that would provide residents with an array of home choices, amenities, and activities, while preserving the natural beauty of the land. As a result of our efforts, winding streams, rolling hills, and acres of open space are there for residents to enjoy. We wanted people to not only have a beautiful home to live in, but a wonderful community to come home to.”
ARORA HILLS features townhomes from the lower $500’s and single family homes from the lower $600’s. Condominiums are also planned. Recreational opportunities abound with a community clubhouse, sports fields and two neighborhood pools. Residents can spend an afternoon on the picturesque trails that meander through the community, practice their golf swing at nearby Little Bennett Golf Course, or pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at Ovid Hazen Wells Park adjoining the community. ARORA HILLS is located minutes from I-270 and the conveniences of schools, including a planned on-site middle school, retail shopping, restaurants, and commuter routes.
To visit, take I-270 to Exit 16 - Father Hurley Blvd - Route 27. Route 27 becomes Ridge Road. Turn left into Welcome Center off Ridge Road.
